文中にある「I remain」ですが、「remain」は辞書によると主に「残る、生き残る」の二つの意味があります。
額面通りに「私は残ります」では話の流れに合わないし、また「私は生き残ります」も命まで狙われる訳ではないので、大げさすぎる気がします。
なので、ここでは「写真で残る」と解釈して「私は残ります」にしてあります。
そのほうがこの後の展開に合うように思いますが、「I remain」の意味をどう受け取るかはあなたにお任せします。
「I leave a photograph which」の「which」にかけて「私はその写真に残ります」かと思いましたが、remain は自動詞なので文法的には不適切なようです。
